One of the closest friends of missing hiplife artiste Castro, is still upset about the disappearance of the hit maker and said if in the unlikely event he reappears, she will “slap him” in the face.
Mzbel, who featured Castro in most of her hits said he has kept his family, very close friends and the whole nation anxious.
Castro drowned while jet skiing in July 2014 on the Volta lake with his friend Janet Bandu.
Reacting to a question by host of Citi FM’s saturday entertainment show Saturday Live, about what her first reaction would be when she sees Castro, Mzbel said, “I will slap his face like a million times, I’m very serious. Why would you go missing and keep everybody wondering. Why would anybody do that? It’s mean.”
Mzbel, while reminiscing about the beautiful times she had with the musician, described Castro as very instrumental in her music career.
“I miss him. I was at home when I heard Castro was missing. I heard on radio that he was dead…and I run bare footed to Asamoah Gyan’s family house because I lived opposite the place and everybody was on the phone. Everybody was talking about the issue, and nobody would talk to me. Everybody was crying and I started crying too.”
“Few days later, we went to his mum’s house and his dad said his son is not dead and nobody should mourn him. So then we assumed he’s somewhere and then we moved on,” she added.
Meanwhile the Musician’s father is still hopeful, his son will return one day.
Per the laws of Ghana, a missing person cannot be declared dead until after seven years.
