Somewhere last week, Black Entertainment Television (BET) nominated fast-rising Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur for its Viewer’s Choice Award.
As a result of the good news, most Ghanaian artistes as well as media houses sent him congratulatory messages on his enviable BET nomination. In the process, Kwesi thanked all his fans who have been in support of his music dream.
However, it didn’t end there. Over the weekend, he posted a video of himself, mother and grandmother via twitter. In the video, his mother and grandmother were seen praying and thanking God for how far He has brought their beloved son.
After he shared the video, several people chimed in to acknowledge his humility and candor for recognising his roots. One person who was moved was the boss of Black Avenue Muzik, D-Black. Fast forward, he retweeted the tweet and stated that he would sponsor his next video. D-Black posted;
“Bruh!! This jus touched me mehn!! The music is fire , I jus now fully understand ur story. Ur next music video is on me young. Whenever you’re ready. Keep shinning . You’re Blessed!! God is the only way. ????????

The awards, the nomination, it is all grace, but honestly, i don't know what can compare to this feeling! Mama and Grandma you worked so hard so we could achieve the things they said were impossible! I'm just happy that i can make you proud! #Godengineering @GroundUpChale pic.twitter.com/9estPlaakk
